We trust your dog is well trained.
But all the incidents in the wild nature say otherwise.
The dog MUST be on a leash by law all the time during the wild bird nesting season – April 1st to November 15th.
Many birds get killed every year by calm, trained and kid friendly dogs, where nobody ever expected this can happen.

To do:
- Always have the dog on a leash. Wild birds have ground nests near the beach – endangered species of seagulls, oystercatchers and many other birds, as well as near the hiking trails and on the meadows – ptarmigans and many others.
- Second very good reason for a leash outdoors, even out of the nesting season, are free range domestic sheep and reindeer, wild rabbits, mink, fox and other animals.
- Moose hate dogs, they are larger than a truck, weigh up to 700kg (1500lbs), and are NOT affraid of anything.
Don’t:
- Don’t bring your dog, if you don’t have to.
